Help With A Best Man Wedding Speech…?
I have a speech written for my best friend who’s getting married Saturday, but I need a joke to replace the one I have. The gag is, I compliment his wife very generously, but when I get to him, I have one bad, emtpy, seemingly awkward compliment. The one I have now is “Thad… you’re rarely late.” but thats from Anchorman and I don’t want to be an all out hack. Anyone have any better ideas?

I think the idea is really good!
Think of something that is true about him and well known, but nothing really amazing. Like, you shower daily, or ’sometimes you pay for our drinks’, ‘you never talk on the phone while we are watching tv’
Or his compliment could be like ‘you know how to pick them’ but make it clear that this is meant to be HIS ONLY compliment.
Or you could even keep the joke, its funny, and people who have seen anchorman will find it even funnier.
I hope my fiancee’s best man can be as funny <3

If your friend be short, then lengthen him
If your friend be tall, then minimise him
For all these if it is based on my whim
Be based on the wedding night’s lighting which is dim!

just say something like:
‘Jill, you are a truly stunning bride and i know that you are going to make Mike very happy for many many years, he is truly lucky to have a woman like you, and i know without a doubt that we will be come as close friends as me and mike are. and mike…. your hair looks good today pal have u dont something different?!’
i would wet myself at that haha!
